As radioligand therapy (RLT) expands across Canada, clear clinical leadership and institutional accountability are essential. CANM’s position paper outlines the association’s position on regulatory alignment, Nuclear Medicine specialty competency, and the governance needed to support safe and sustainable delivery.
The paper addresses medical direction, radiation safety, multidisciplinary collaboration, and institutional responsibilities. It provides a framework for health authorities, hospitals, and clinical teams planning and expanding RLT programs, with patient safety and equitable access at its core.
